"When God made time, he made enough of it." --Celtic saying
"How beautiful it is to do nothing, and then rest afterward." --Spanish proverb
Sometimes your writing suffers for want of moodling. According to Brenda Ueland (If You Want to Write) , moodling is an uninterrupted chunk of time in which you moodle - take a long walk, look at stars, or sit in front of a lit candle. This gives your ideas a chance to dandle their roots in the warm spring soil of your imagination, to twirl and play and push things upward which you never expected.
The problem with modern life is that moodling is not given priority. Really, though, it's one of the most productive things you can do.
